Contact

You can contact me in a variety of ways, should you be mad enough to wish to do so.

  • Find me on Twitter. This is my recommended method, as I am a Twitter addict. Navigate your way to twitter.com/serialinsomniac or search for ‘serialinsomniac’ in your Twitter client. My Twitter feed reports any and all new additions to the blog.
  • Head over to Facebook. The page is at facebook.com/serialinsomniacblog.
  • Leave a comment. Leave a comment on any post or page; I don’t often get around to replying (see here), but all comments are read and considered, and I absolutely love getting them. Should you have a private query, I can contact you via email as addresses are required to leave a comment.
  • Use the below contact form to email me. I’ll respond to short queries quickly, but beware that I can be a bit of a shite correspondent when long emails are required. I’ll get to it eventually though! PLEASE NOTE: This contact form will not appear to work after you hit the send button – but it actually does. You need only press ‘Sendy-wendy’ once. If you (understandably) don’t trust it, leave a comment here to check if I got your email. I’m only using this as a spam prevention measure – I have no issue with anyone having my email address. And yes, I am working on fixing this form! πŸ™‚

  1. SI–I never remember this password business. Is it something you send me so I can access the password-protected material (you did this once before) or am I supposed to remember something? If it’s the latter, I’m in bad shape. . . hopefully you can allow me access as I am a faithful reader. Thanks, FR.

  2. Your “About me” is so like me(20 years ago-I’m 42 and still an insomniac) that it’s eerie. I’m the U.S. I stopped analyzing at 40 (The “do not give a shit” gene kicks in apparently). I am going to read through your posts. It’s so strange some of the terms you use. They are very much like me(even to the early course of study and educational degrees.)

    Say hello sometime.

  3. Dear Pandora, I am your faithful reader. And supporter. You may remember I mentioned there is hope at the end of opening Pandora’s box of horrors. I would like to read what you have posted. May I?

  4. Hi there SI,

I’ve just discovered your blog and I’m working my way through your archives to catch up with your story. I don’t usually comment on blogs (too shy) but I wanted to let you know how much I’m enjoying your writing style and your dark sense of humour, which is very much in keeping with my own.

I’m 30 and have bipolar II, PSTD and OCD, as well as multiple physical health problems.

I wonder if you would allow me to have a password so that I can see the posts that you’ve protected? I would really love to be able to read the ‘whole story’ as I’ve found it very interesting, and useful.

    Thank you
    Emma

    • Hi Emma!

Thanks so much for the comment and kind words πŸ™‚ I’m on holiday right now so have limited Internet access, but I will email you the password when I get home πŸ™‚

      Thanks again and best wishes

  5. oops I had trouble on page not sure it will send or not.
I didnt’ realize these “contacts” would be posted, as they are above…(blush) minds kinda long and preachy.

I want to addend (append?) it to say “not that you won’t get better without C’…just meant it was the clear path that they are stupidly removing.
i’d be driven mad, if not already, by the illogic of this all.

    • sorry, it looks like my first post did not ‘post”.
I applauded you for your courage in facing these painful things. I was so sorry about your struggles with NHS and have been appalled for you that they are making you end with C. just as it all is opened up.
I said that I’d been enjoying your blog, that its been helpful to me personally dealing with my own issues cPTSD, which I have trouble emotionally accepting/believing tho I do intellectually. I see things you do, feel, think and they are similar to some of my own…it has helped me understand and accept some aspects of myself as I do so easily accept those same aspects in others (you).

I, too, would like to read your passworded posts. I think I asked you elsewhere but never heard…maybe on facebook message but don’t know if you got it. You must get alot of replies and have trouble keeping up…ironically perhaps as you are so emotionally drained right now it seems.

you are a very talented writer, and are very gifted in ways beyond mear book smart intellect. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us.

  6. Hello,
Just wondering if you’ve had any joy hearing back from your MP?
Also might it be possible for me to have the password for protected posts?
    Cx

  7. Don’t know if I’ve left you any comments before but I’ve been reading for a good while after seeing your blog on TWIM a few times.

I wondered if you would be comfortable with allowing me to read your passworded entries, of course I understand that those are protected for a reason and I won’t mind if you say no.

I’ve got a blog so I’ve put the URL in the box above, it is only in its early development but does talk about my own mentalness and other issues.

    Yours Autumn – pseudonym.

  8. Hello there!

I just wanted to let you know I added you to my blogroll. (http://thecasualpasserby.wordpress.com/ – there’s nothing there at the moment, apart from a few links, as presently I can’t be fucked to do any writing.) I hope that’s ok. I really enjoy reading your blog, by the way.

Hope this finds you in the pink.

PS I tried emailing this message an hour or so ago but I don’t think it through.

    • It did – the stupid contact form doesn’t work in terms of how the user sees it, but I do get the mails. I’ll have to resort to a new one menthinks!

Anyway, thanks very much for your kind words and for the add to your blogroll, and I look forward to following you once you’re all up and running.

Take care and all the best for now

    • It’s OK, I got it. The comment form works; it just doesn’t give any indication that it does so for some reason.

I’m going to have to think about what you’ve written and how much if any insight I can give, so I’ll get back to you in a day or two. I hope that’s OK πŸ™‚

  10. I, too, am a serial insomniac following a sexual assault on me 6 yrs.agp, suffered the most appaling mental breakdown, my book of poems on allthis is called LIKE A FINE PIECE OF CHINA and available from Amazon.com

  11. Hmmm… tried to send a message asking for password but I’m not sure it went through so I figured I’d ask here. If your comfortable, I’d like the password so I can keep up with what’s going on with you.

  12. Hi, I stumbled across your blog while looking for DID blogs from NI and have just read some of the about you pages but I will be reading more, I am sure of it. Anyway, feel free to have a look at my blog too. NI seems like a small place and although its only internet based I must say I am quite excited to find someone else blogging on mental health issues from here!

    • Hi Candy

Great to hear from a fellow Norn Iron mentalist! I too find that rather exciting πŸ˜‰

I’ve added your blog to my reader, and look forward to following it πŸ˜€

      Best wishes

      • Hooray for someone reading my blog! Lol. Its not a happening as yours but I hope you’ll find it interesting anyway. Feel free to add it to your DID list btw.

  13. Hi Pandora,

I write articles for http://www.mastersinpsychology.net/, a website dedicated to providing students with the information and tools needed in order to pursue their Masters in Psychology.

I ran across your site, and I thought that your readers might be interested in the latest article I’ve posted ( http://www.mastersinpsychology.net/50-must-see-youtube-videos-to-learn-about-psychological-disorders ). It’s called 50 Must-See YouTube Videos to Learn About Psychological Disorders. If it’s something you find interesting and think that your readers would as well, I was wondering if you would possibly consider mentioning it on your site?

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I would love to hear any feedback you may have, so I can share it with our team. Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy the article.

    Best,
    Michelle Parsons
