Psychosis & Schizophrenia

I so far haven’t found that many blogs on schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and other psychotic illnesses, at least ones that focus primarily on these illnesses rather than co-morbid conditions such as depression or bipolar disorder. However, here are a few that I have recently found and am really enjoying. As ever, if you have a schizophrenia or related blog, or would like to recommend one, please contact me.

  1. Thank you so much for the mention and the listing of blogs I had no clue about. I am about to go check out a few of these blogs and hope they are interesting and informative reads. Once again, Thanks!

  2. The blogs of my choice when it comes to “schizophrenia”/”psychosis”: Holistic Recovery from Schizophrenia, a mother’s blog, and Ron Unger’s blog Recovery from “schizophrenia” and other “psychotic disorders”. Ron Unger, LCSW, is a therapist, so he’s a mental health professional. But his main interest on the blog is, as the title suggests, on “schizophrenia” and “psychosis” in general, and on recovery from these states of mind.

  3. I have a suggestion: The Lion Keeper’s Blog at thelionkeeper.wordpress.com. A mother who cares for her son who has schizoaffective disorder writes it. xx

  4. I do more writing than reading so just discovered your blog…and find it very interesting,… hard not to stay up all night and read more but since fortunately insomnia is not a problem for me, I must stop now. I am the writer of one of the blogs you recommend (thank you) and it is hard some days to just get my thoughts down on paper I am so tired. Taking care of my son is almost a 24/7 job but a necessary one. I come from a state where the gov’t spending on jails and prisons is the highest in the country but we are last in our spending per capita on mental health. My son is not homeless or in prison like so many others.
