Apparently I wrote this epic gem of a post on Thursday, post-C. It reminds me of a diatribe that A wrote to his friend W whilst in the early, very bleak years of his long university career:

Fuck Earth.
Fuck the solar system, galaxy, local cluster, universe and multiverse, should the latter exist.
Fuck medication.
Fuck getting washed and dressed.
Fuck getting out of bed.
Fuck prejudice and bigotry.
Fuck the beautiful people (forgive irony vis a vis last point).
Fuck this blog.
Fuck my “life”.
Fuck everything.

Exactly! (As in ‘Nothing to be done’ – the famous opening line of Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting For Godot) You put the ‘I’ and ‘me’ of the so-called ‘self’ on hold and allow the unconscious brain to make the decisions for you. Refuse to get involved with hopes and desires, let decisions make themselves. Just sit back and watch. When you give up the illusion of a self in control people imagine that all hell will break loose and they will run a amok – in fact the opposite happens, you stop inflicting your desires on the world around you and end up being a better neighbour!
